Now here at Milk & Honey we love anything that’s cute, pretty and pastel! So it was inevitable that we would fall madly in love with Sea + Asters. Such an original and straight forward concept, we were excited when our parcel arrived.
Founded by Monica + James, (husband and wife), they both share a passion for simple and modern design. They discovered their love of Tillandsias (air plants) while Monica was studying horticulture. The rest is history and out of it birthed their Etsy shop.
Now the concept of air plants were honestly a myth to us. Did you know air plants do not require soil, but live off just water, air and sunlight. How remarkable! So once we received the package, a set of really straight forward instructions were included with a detail breakdown of what we needed to do to get these little pastel and green buds up and running.
Both the plants and pots arrive in separate packaging. Upon arrival make sure you submerge the air plants in water for about 10-15mins and then pick the pot you wish to put your plant in (If you order more than one). Now you’re all good to go!
To keep the air plants alive and healthy it is important to soak them once or twice a week for a few hours. Make sure you shake off any excess water and allow the plants to dry in bright indirect sunlight before placing them in the pot.
Sea + Asters creation of mixing pots and plants is so simple and innovative. The work required is minimal and perfect if you love plants and have a hectic and busy lifestyle. They are a great homely feature and really do add a dash of pop with the colour blocked pots too.
So what exactly are you waiting for? Get your hands on one of these baby buds now! They retail from $27.
