On Thursday 4th of August we were invited to the Look Fantastic Beauty Box release of their August beauty box!
Now, if you haven’t heard, Look fantastic is one of the UK’s largest hair and beauty websites, offering you gorgeous girls fab discounts on your favourite brands. Sounds amazing, right? Well, it is, because to add to that, the site also offers free membership with more of these amazing discounts on their broad list of over 14,000 products from over 350 brands, including the likes of Estee Lauder, Benefit and GHD.
On occasion the added perk of a freebie is a bonus! So, you can imagine why we were excited to attend their latest beauty box launch; hosted at none other than London’s beautifully classic, The Ivy in Covent Garden.
The beauty box is something particularly special that the Look Fantastic team have curated, every month the team releases a new box worth over £50 with at least 6 amazing products for you to try! The boxes are available through membership packages ranging in price dependent on subscription period, with a three-month subscription for £13.33, six months for £12.50 and 12 months for £11.25! Pretty great for a beauty box worth over £50, which also includes the latest edition of Elle magazine and the Look Fantastic’s latest beauty box magazine!
The theme for the August box is ‘Best of British’, which the lovely girls from the Look Fantastic team explained was based on the season of the Olympics, and hence why the event was held at The Ivy.
After the most delicious of British themed lunches complete with mouth watering treats such as prawn cocktail, summer salads, sandwiches and the best scones and cakes we have ever eaten! It was safe to say we were full and extremely happy after such a lovely afternoon, but we still had the best to come, we finally opened our stunningly packaged beauty box!
The fuchsia pink union jack painted box, didn’t fail to impress us after we pulled open its pristine packaging and we were more than delighted to find seven products ready to help us look our best for the British summer, along with the Look Fantastic’s monthly beauty magazine.
In this months box, the products included:
Renu Skin – advanced anti- ageing lip and eye active lift
Balance Me – skin saviours congested skin serum
Ren – flash defense anti-pollution mist
Bee Good – vanilla & honey lip balm
Bloom and Blossom- rejuvenating facial spritz
Percy and Reed – perfectly perfecting wonder balm
We loved all of the products in this months box, from the refreshing ‘Wake Me Up’ spritz from Bloom and Blossoms’ to the luscious Bee Good, vanilla and honey lip balm. Our all time favourite had to be the Percy Reed’s, Perfectly perfecting wonder balm for hair. With its amazingly fresh and almost tropical sent and easiest application we could wish for, this perfect style serum left my hair feeling fresh as apposed to weighed down with product as so many other serums can leave you feeling, allowing me to style and control any fly away stray hairs!
The opportunity to try new brands and products at an affordable price, before having to fully commit to purchasing individual and usually costly items, is something that makes the Look Fantastic beauty box so fantastic and we can not wait to see next months theme!
