We caught up with the Rose, the brains and beauty behind the this amazing venture! Here’s what she had to say…
1. How did you come up with the name PostBox Party?
Postbox Party was quite a natural choice of name for our offering, we send parties through the post and they come in boxes! Very simple.
2. What was the idea behind the brand? Who came up with it?
Myself, I’m Rose, I founded postbox Party in 2012. The idea behind the brand Postbox Party was to supply carefully curated party boxes, containing all the essentials for a themed and action packed party, saving our customers the time, effort and cost of sourcing themselves from far and wide. For those not wanting the whole shebang we also sell individual items as well as offering a party design service, for items like bespoke invitations, menus, table plans and party bags.

3. What is your favourite product from your party box range and why?
Our favourite from our range are usually hen party related. Hen Parties are always fun, you can push the boundaries a bit more. Saying that, all parties are fun and lovely to be a part of, especially if they are unique to the individual.. some really fun bespoke boxes we’ve done include a Bruce Forsyth Hen Party for a bride that hates Brucey, A Crazy Cat Lady 30th Party for; well a crazy cat lady and A Bun in the Oven Baby Shower for an expectant mum that loves cakes!

4. What is the price range of your Hen Boxes?
The price of this particular hen party is £85 for 12 people, £95 with a hamper and for 24 people it is £120 or £130 with hamper. The cost of a bespoke hen party varies, it all really depends on what the customer requires. We can supply everything from the room and table décor to the disposable tableware, invitations and event stationery, fancy dress and props, party bags, favors and games.
5. How are themes conceptualised and how does that determine the content in the box?
For bespoke orders most people come to us with a theme in mind; we then request that they complete a party proposal form and send this back to us, so that we can then create a themed party based on the requirements of the customer. If the customer doesn’t have a theme in mind, we will work with them closely and dissect the person who the party is for; their likes, dislikes, hobbies etc and come up with a theme together. We will then supply the customer with a range of ideas in a party proposal and take it from there. A party proposal is £20, if the customer uses us to supply their party, this cost can be redeemed against the cost of their party. For our Ready to Go boxes we generally concentrate on the seasonal occasions for example, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Christmas, Easter as well as popular parties including hen and baby showers. We pull in party pieces from different suppliers and compliment them with our own handmade, personalised items… saving our customers the hassle in sourcing from far and wide and giving a nice personalised touch too.

6. Are all the products created by you?
No, the products we sell are mainly sourced from a number of handpicked and valued suppliers, but we do have some of our own items too.
